Black boys in today's society are hurting because of the absent father. I have talked with countless numbers of young boys who yearn for their fathers or a strong black man who will give them a sense of direction and guidance in life.

Black men must be proud, responsible, and willing to sacrifice for future generations so that black boys may have a better life. Black men must continue to overcome illiteracy in order to combat the social forces that plagued them daily.

Black men must step up to the plate and begin to take more responsibility for their overall care and development of our young black boys. We must become father figures to our children and strive to be role models at every turn.
